Day 14 - 30 Paintings in 30 Days

Autumn on the Lake | Pastel | 6x8

For the first time, hopefully so far, I didn't finish my painting yesterday and has to this morning.  Not berating myself as some nights, one is just more tired than others, and I took a lot of time on this one, small tho it is.  I love the results as it feels jewel-like in its colors, which is what drew me to it to begin with.  Amazing that a little 6x8 can take 2 1/2 hours, which is the usual amount of time I spend on a 9x12 but there's a lot in this painting.  I love it so much that I'm putting it on my very short list of paintings I'd like to do bigger!

Now off to chores and back at the easel to whip out another this evening.
